In short, we are locals from Ladakh. This registered agency was started way back in 2001 by Mr. Tundup. We deal for normal season tours along with offbeat, cultural, adventure camping tours & treks. We are specialized too in high altitude trekking.
We have our own feet of cars like Innova, Xylo & Tempo Traveller.
We are running BIJOU Guest House in Padum Town, Zanskar & soon will open ZANSKAR CAMPSITE's in different parts of zanskar valley

After having extensively travelled in Ladakh and Zanskar as mountain guides and local tour leaders for numerous overseas and domestic trekking and adventure tour groups, Stanzin Tundup and his brother Stanzin Tsultim set up their own tour outfit in 2001, registered it with the Department of Tourism, J & K Government(earlier) and named it Tsarap Himalayan Adventures. Their obsession – to share the ecstasy of travelling through a land like no other in the world.
Born in the remote Zanskar valley in a small village KURU near the spectacular Phuktal monastery, the two brothers have come a long way teaching themselves the details of tour organizational techniques for delivering effective and streamlined adventure tours in this beautiful region. They were delighted and encouraged to further excel when they found their names listed in reputed guide books like the "Lonely Planet" and the "Guide du Routard" in which they were recommended for their excellent services and well organised treks. Ideally located in the capital of Leh, Tsarap Himalayan Adventures has an efficient field team of local guides, cooks, camp assistants, porters and experienced pack pony men with sturdy ponies. Our latest equipment includes all weather tents, kitchen and toilet tents, snug sleeping bags, mattresses and necessary kitchen equipment. Our enthusiastic local office staff answer all queries and are a storehouse of local routes, destinations and folklore.
Our aim from the start has been to provide 100% personalised travel and adventure tour related services to all our guests. We specialise in trekking and one of our most popular treks – The Chadar Trek - is done in January and February on the frozen River Zanskar while the others are undertaken from May to end September. Over the years Tundup has accompanied nine successful groups on the Chadar trail that incidentally also leads to his home near the dramatically located Phuktal Gompa in Zanskar.
